Connect Checkout Page to Tolt to track referrals from its hosted, embedded or pop-up checkouts. Checkout Page passes each visitor's referral to Stripe, and Tolt picks it up through your Stripe integration.
Before you start
Stripe is connected in Settings › Integrations. See Set up Stripe with Tolt.
You use Checkout Page for your Stripe checkouts.
The Tolt tracking script is on your website.
Turn on the Tolt integration
In Checkout Page, go to Store settings › Integrations.
Find Tolt and click Enable.
Paste your
data-toltID into the Public ID field. You'll find it on your Stripe integration in Tolt, under Add the Tolt tracking script to your site.Click Enable.
Referrals through your checkouts are now credited to the right partner.
How referrals are tracked
Hosted checkouts: Checkout Page adds the Tolt tracking script for you. When someone opens a checkout URL with a partner parameter, such as
?ref=partner_id, Checkout Page adds the referral to the Stripe metadata.Embedded and pop-up checkouts: the Tolt tracking script must be on your website, and your links need the partner parameter, such as
?ref=partner_id. Checkout Page passes it on to Stripe.
Good to know
This integration only works with Stripe payments.
Cross-domain tracking isn't supported.
