Blocking commissions from ad platforms lets you control how commissions are generated through paid advertising. Use this setting to prevent commissions from being earned through specific ad platforms and ensure your program follows your advertising guidelines.

If your partners run paid ads on platforms like Google Ads and send traffic directly to your website, they may end up competing with your own advertising campaigns.

For example, if both you and your partners bid on the same keywords, a conversion attributed to a partner may have happened through your ads anyway. This can increase your ad costs while also triggering commissions you wouldn’t normally want to pay.

  1. Navigate to Program Settings → Marketing and tracking.

  2. Click the Manage ad platforms button.

  3. In the pop-up, from the Ad platforms dropdown, select the platform(s) you want.

Note: Tolt allows you to block commissions from YouTube, Google, and Bing.

  4. Click Save changes.

    Tolt updates the program.

Note: You can remove the restrictions at any time.
