Email automation delays

Wait a set time, or until a set date, before an automation sends its email.

Written by Nick

A delay makes an automation wait before it moves on to the next step. Use it to send an email a few days after a partner signs up, for example, instead of right away.

  1. In the automation, click the Delay step.

  2. Choose how to wait:

    • Wait for a duration: waits a set time after the previous step. Enter a number and choose Minutes, Hours or Days.

    • Schedule a date: continues on a set date. Click Continue on and pick the date and time.

The automation now waits as you set before it checks the conditions and sends the email.

Good to know

  • With Schedule a date, partners who reach the delay after that date and time don't get the email.

  • To send the email right away, remove the delay step.
