Email Automation Delays

Learn how to add and configure delays between steps in your email automations.

Written by Nick

Delays control how long an automation waits before continuing to the next step. You can use them to control when partners receive automated emails after the previous step in the automation.

Configure a delay

When adding a delay, choose how you want to schedule the next step:

  • Wait for a duration - waits for a specific amount of time after the previous step before continuing.

  • Schedule a date - continues the automation on a specific date.

Wait for a duration

Select Wait for a duration to pause the automation for a specific amount of time after the previous step.

Enter the duration and choose the time unit:

  • Minutes

  • Hours

  • Days

💡 For example, setting the delay to 1 day means the automation will wait one day after the previous step before continuing.

Schedule a date

Select Schedule a date when you want the automation to continue on a specific date and time.

Click the Continue on field and select the date and time when you want the automation to continue.

💡 Partners who enter the automation after the selected date and time won't receive the automated email.
