Manually adding customers gives you more control over your partner program. Use this option to track offline referrals, handle special cases, or test your setup. Once added, any future payments from that customer are tracked automatically.

Tolt allows you to create the customer or import it through your payment processor.

To add a customer:

  1. Navigate to the Partners page, then select the partner who is responsible for the customer.

Note: This is essential to ensure the customer is linked correctly for tracking and commissions.

  2. Navigate to the Customers tab of the partner’s profile page and click the Create customer button.

  3. In the Create customer pop-up, select Create Manually.

  4. Complete the Create customer form.

    • Type the customer name.

    • Type the date the customer signed up.

    • Type the customer email or identifier.

    • If applicable, type the Subscription ID from your payment processor for the customer.

    • From the dropdown menu select the customer status.

For more information on what each status mean, check out our article on Statuses.

    • Optional: Add transactions.

You can also manually create transactions for the customer:

      • Amount: Enter the transaction amount.

      • Date: Specify the date when the customer paid or converted the transaction.

    • Click Create customer.

    Tolt creates the customer.

Once you’ve added the customer and any transactions, Tolt will automatically track future payments and update the partner's commission status accordingly.
