Let partners submit leads

Let partners submit leads they found themselves, then approve or reject each one.

Written by Nick

Let partners submit leads they found themselves, such as offline or high-touch deals that don't come through a partner link or coupon code. Submitted leads wait for your review, so you decide what gets tracked and rewarded.

Turn on lead submissions

  1. Go to Program settings › Permissions.

  2. Under What partners can do, switch on Submit leads.

Submit leads switch under What partners can do on the Permissions page

Partners can now submit leads from their partner portal. The lead form always asks for the lead's email.

Give a group its own lead form

A group can use its own form, for example to ask agencies for an estimated deal size. Partners in that group can submit leads with it even while Submit leads is off.

  1. Go to Program settings › Groups.

  2. Click ⋯ next to the group and choose Edit lead form.

  3. Switch on Use a separate form for this group.

  4. Edit the questions, or click Add question and choose Text, Single choice or Multiple choice. To start from the program's form, click Copy from program.

  5. Click Save changes.

Turned off, the group follows the program's setting and form.

Review submitted leads

  1. Go to Customers › Submitted leads. New submissions have the Pending status.

  2. Click a lead to open its details.

  3. Click Approve Lead, or click the red ✕ to reject it.

When you approve, Tolt prompts you to create the customer, a transaction and a commission for the partner. When you reject, you can add a note explaining why.
