When someone signs up through a partner link, Tolt records them as a lead for that partner. The lead stays with that partner even if they never pay. Expiring unpaid leads permanently deletes them after a set number of days, so another partner can refer them.
Go to Program settings › Tracking.
Under Attribution, switch on Expire unpaid leads.
Enter the number of days a lead can stay unpaid. It must be at least your cookie duration, and no more than 365 days.
Unpaid leads older than that are permanently deleted and listed on the Expired leads tab of Customers. From then on, each new lead is deleted once it reaches that age without paying. The timeline at the top of the Attribution card shows how long leads now last.
Good to know
Leads with a payment, a commission or a trial are never deleted.
Days count from sign-up. With the Last click attribution model, they start over when a lead moves to another partner. See Choose an attribution model.
Deleted leads can't be brought back. Choose a duration long enough for your usual sales cycle, such as 60 or 90 days.
The Expired leads tab shows each deleted lead's customer, previous partner, when they became a lead, when they expired and why.
To stop expiring leads, switch off Expire unpaid leads. Leads that were already deleted stay deleted.
For how leads are recorded, see Track sign-ups as leads.
