Block commissions from social media

Stop partners from earning commissions on traffic from social platforms you don't allow.

Written by Nick

Block social media platforms to stop partners from earning commissions on traffic from them. This setting is part of Radar, Tolt's fraud protection.

Available on Pro and Enterprise plans.

It's useful when partners promote you in ways your guidelines don't allow, such as boosted posts, or on platforms where you already run your own campaigns.

  1. Go to Program settings › Tracking & safeguards.

  2. Under Referral safeguards, click the pencil next to Block commissions from social media.

  3. Under Social media platforms, select the platforms to block: Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit or X.

  4. Optionally, select Auto-suspend partners if social media commissions are detected to suspend partners when a commission from a blocked platform comes in.

  5. Click Next.

  6. Choose what happens to existing commissions:

    • Yes, backtrack: Tolt re-checks all unpaid commissions and flags any that came from the platforms you selected.

    • Skip: the block applies to new commissions only.

From then on, Tolt blocks commissions on traffic from the platforms you selected.
