Transactions

What a transaction is in Tolt, and how a customer's payment turns into a partner's commission.

Written by Nick

A transaction is a payment from a customer a partner referred. Tolt records every one from your payment provider or Tolt's API, whether or not it earns the partner a commission.

How a transaction becomes a commission

When Tolt records a transaction, it runs your program's flows on it. Every flow whose conditions match creates a commission for the partner. If no flow matches, for example because the payment is below a minimum you set, the transaction is still recorded but earns nothing. See What are flows?

Where to find transactions

  • Customers › Transactions lists every transaction in your program. Search by charge ID, transaction ID, or customer name and email.
